Harrisburg man arrested for robbery of Sunoco

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police have arrested Antonio Michael Watson, 41, for the robbery of a Sunoco in Lower Paxton Township last week.

Township police say Watson, of the 300 block of Maclay Street in Harrisburg, robbed the Sunoco at 4220 Union Deposit Road on January 8 around 8:30 p.m.

Watson was identified after a surveillance photo from the incident was released. Lower Paxton Township police say the man went into the Sunoco, ordered a clerk to give him the cash and threatened to hurt her if she did not comply.

He kept a hand in his coat pocket, leading the clerk to believe he had a gun, but no weapon was seen. Once the clerk handed over the money, the robbery ran out the front door toward the Hampton Inn next door, police said.

Watson is now in Dauphin County Prison on $25,000 bail.
