Police: Harrisburg man shot in leg early Saturday morning

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Harrisburg man was shot in the leg after robbers tried to steal money from another man early Saturday morning, police said.

The victim and another man were sitting on the front porch of a home on the 400 clock of South 15th Street around 3:25 a.m. when three men walked by moved out of sight, according to police.  One of the men then stepped into the alley to urinate when he encountered three men sneaking up between he houses. The men demanded money and money and fired a shot at the man as he ran off.

The bullet hit the other man in the leg and the robbers fled. The bullet shattered the victim's lower leg bone. He will require surgery.
