Danville, VA - Senator Tim Kaine made his first official trip to Danville as Senator Monday.
Kaine toured Essel Propack in Monday morning. He got a chance to talk to employees and see the work they do.
Kaine heard concerns the company had and asked questions about how to grow their success. The senator asked them about transportation needs and how can stay competitive in the market. Kaine said he plans to address their needs in the Senate.
"I took my first out of office trip as Governor to come to Danville and I wanted my first out of office trip as a Senator to come back and in both instances it is to talk about the economy," said Kaine.
Kaine also went to Martinsville Monday.
Before Kaine left, though, he also mentioned that he plans to open up a Danville office in the near future.
