PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Mayor Michael Nutter says a $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the location of a 5-year-old girl taken from her west Philadelphia school by an unknown woman.
State police earlier issued an amber alert for Nailla Robinson, who was taken from the Bryant School at about 8:50 a.m. Monday by a woman wearing black Muslim-style clothing.
Police discovered that the girl was missing at about 3 p.m. Monday when a caretaker from the child's after-school program came to pick her up.
School district spokesman Francisco Gallard told the Philadelphia Daily News that there appeared to have been a "serious break in procedure."
Police said the child didn't appear to believe she was in any danger, but she's often picked up by different people.
