Teen arrested for burglary of Thomasville business

THOMASVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

A 15-year-old was arrested for the burglary of a York County business when responding officers found him hiding in the building, according to police.

Northern York County Regional police said the teen had broken a door window at the Morningstar Marketplace, at 5309 Lincoln Highway in Jackson Township, when officers responded to the burglary in progress late Tuesday.

He was in possession of stolen items, including change that had been removed from some of the marketplace shops, and also had a switchblade knife, police said.

The teen was placed in a juvenile facility and is facing charges of burglary, theft, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, possession of instruments of crime, and prohibited offensive weapons.
