Officials: Dog Lured Into Road, Hit by Vehicle

Campbell Co., VA - A Campbell County Sheriff's deputy found an injured Pit Bill, Jax, on the side of Eastbrook Road Friday night and thought he was hit by a car.

The Altavista Animal hospital says he was released Wednesday and is doing great. He is staying at a foster home until his owners come forward.

If no one comes to claim him by next Wednesday, he will be available to adopt.
