Two men have been arrested for pushing an 86-year-old woman to the ground from behind and stealing her purse in the parking lot of a Lebanon grocery store.

Tyler Bender, 24, of Lebanon, and Brian Dugan, 23, of Bethel, each face counts of robbery and conspiracy, according to Lebanon police. Dugan faces additional charges of simple assault and possession of heroin.

The woman had minor injuries to her face and hand as a result of the robbery Thursday afternoon at the Giant food store at 835 Bowman Street.

Police said witnesses saw the men responsible running west from the scene. Officers arrested one of the suspects in the 600 block of East Weidman Street and captured the second about three hours later in the area of North 5th and Crowell streets.

The victim's purse was found in a weed bed along the railroad tracks in the area of East Weidman, police said.

Bender and Dugan were being held in the Lebanon County Prison on $100,000 bail each.
