HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
Harrisburg police are trying to identify the robber who put a knife to the throat of a thrift store clerk.
The clerk reported that the man attacked her from behind Saturday morning, shortly after she opened the Family Dollar at 400 South Cameron Street.
She said he frantically demanded money, access to the safe, her cell phone and her purse as he forced her into various aisles and rooms, then began to tie her hands with some type of cord, according to Harrisburg police.
When she realized her extreme danger and tried to fight off the robber, he punched her repeatedly and knocked her unconscious before fleeing the store, police said.
The store manager told abc27 the clerk was doing "ok" on Monday, and said she is expected to make a full recovery.
Police have released surveillance photos so that someone may recognize the man.
