YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -
Police said they have arrested a man who allegedly tied up two clerks during the robbery of a York County thrift store last year.
Michael T. Durden, 45, of York, was charged Monday with robbery, theft, receiving stolen property, simple assault, terroristic threats and firearms violations, according to Northern York County Regional police.
Durden is accused of robbing the Dollar General store at 1500 North George Street in Manchester Township the night of October 26.
Police previously reported that the robber loitered in the store until other customers left, went to the front door and locked it, then showed the two employees a silver gun in his waistband.
A male employee was ordered to the back of the store and tied up in a bathroom. A female clerk was forced to empty the cash registers before she was also tied up in the bathroom, police said.
The employees eventually freed themselves and called 911. Neither was injured.
