2 charged in auto parts theft investigation

DENVER, Pa. (WHTM) -

Two people have been charged following a theft investigation at Nolts Auto Parts.

Anthony V. Pfund was charged with theft by deception, and Danielle Bennett was charged with receiving stolen property. Officers said the two were involved in a fraudulent returns scheme.

According to police, while Pfund was employed at the Fivepointville branch of Nolts Auto he made 68 fraudulent returns for parts he did not purchase.

Over the course of approximately 14 months, he put over $20,000 into a bank account he shared with Bennett.
