A settlement was reached in a federal lawsuit filed against Chambersburg Skydiving Center, Inc., by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
On Nov. 7, 2012, the FAA filed a civil complaint claiming that the Chambersburg Skydiving Center, Inc. violated federal regulations by not having one of their aircrafts inspected. The FAA went on to say that the aircraft was not in "airworthy condition" when it was operated.
Under the terms of the settlement, the Chambersburg Skydiving Center, Inc. will pay $10,000 in fines. It will also fully cooperate with the FAA regarding inspections and investigations.
