Owner Jack Roush has 7 Cup championships but 2012 was a season the team would like to forget, but they plan to have a MUCH better 2013.
Roush Fenway Racing is DRIVEN to get back to the top. Owner Jack Roush has 311 Cup wins but only had two last season. Both were from Greg Biffle who already has two legs of NASCAR's triple crown completed with a Truck and Nationwide title. Now he's looking for a Cup championship after testing well at Daytona.
"I have a picture on my phone of the scoreboard when we left Daytona and the 16 car is at the top and that's not because of the driver. I can tell you that. That's because of what's under the hood and they guys at the race shop and how hard they've worked over the winter to get prepared so yes we definitely feel the power," said Greg Biffle.
2012 was arguably the worst season in Carl Edwards career and that has him ready to get back to the track almost immediately.
"I'm extremely motivated to go racing this year. I have not been this excited for a season to start in a long time. I like winning. This is what we do this for to go out and win races and have fun and to fight for championships," said Edwards.
Roush also has Trevor Bayne, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and action sports legend Travis Pastrana racing in the Nationwide Series.
"The first conversation I had with Jack, he said, 'What do you in five years?' I said, 'Well,' He said, 'No well. What do you plan on doing?' I said, 'I plan on racing NASCAR.' He said, 'Do you plan on racing or do you plan on winning.' I said, 'Sir, I plan on winning.' He said, 'Okay then we can talk,'" said Pastrana.
Pastrana is "all in" and with Roush for the foreseeable future.
