
Lynchburg - Seminole District leader Heritage had just six players available, but placed four of them in double figures as the Pioneer girls beat second-place Brookville 65-52 Monday night at Heritage.
Cameron Carter led Heritage with 15, Kadijah Anderson and BriAnna Paige added 13, Chantel Colmore 12 as the Pioneers built a 20-point lead at the half. The Bees pulled within nine with four minutes left, but could get no closer. Heritage improves to 17-and-2 overall, 9-and-0 in the Seminole District.
Anitra Thomas led Brookville with 12, Alexis Rosser added 9. Heritage increases its lead to three games in the district over Brookville and JF with three games to play. The Pioneers play at JF Thursday night.
