Roanoke Co, - VA - A SWAT team spent hours at a home in Roanoke County Tuesday Morning trying to talk a man out of his home.
Officers responded to the home in the 6100 block of Airport Road about 4:30 a.m.
The Roanoke County Sheriff's Office says the man's wife called 911 and said he had threatened her and the family pet with a knife.
At about 7 a.m., negotiators were able to get him to come outside.
The 50-year-old man was taken to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
