PennDOT truck involved in accident, 1 flown to hospital

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

One patient was flown to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident involving a PennDOT pickup truck shut down Route 30 for two hours Tuesday morning.

The accident occurred around 10 a.m. just outside of Gettysburg near the intersection of Route 30 (Chambersburg Road) and Seven Stars Road. Route 30 reopened just after noon.

PennDOT Spokesman Mike Crochunis confirmed that a PennDOT employee was driving a crew cab pickup involved in the accident. The employee was not injured.
