Lynchburg - Today's ABC 13 High School Team of the Week is Heritage girls basketball.
The Pioneers ran their record to 17-and-2, a perfect 9-and-0 in the Seminole District, with Monday night's 65-52 win over Brookville. The win clinched at least a share of the district title for Heritage, the Pioneers lead both JF and Brookville by three games with three to play. Heritage can clinch the title outright with a win Thursday night at JF.
Cameron Carter, HERITAGE JUNIOR FORWARD, said "We can't slip off on JF, Amherst and Glass. I mean anything is possible and knowing we can't get too cocky and we can't come out and then lose three straight games."
Brianna Paige, HERITAGE SR. CENTER/FORWARD, said "I like that we're all young and we all put a different vibe and chemistry together and we all just have different input. We're just a big, one big happy family."
