Police in West York have filed charges against 110 people who allegedly were involved in a huge retail theft ring.
Among those charged is the suspected ring leader, 30-year-old James Giuffrida, of York.
Police said others stole the merchandise and sold it to Giuffrida in exchange for gift cards, and Giuffrida then sold the items for profit.
According to investigators, the theft ring hit 92 stores in central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland and netted $750,000 in stolen merchandise.
Giuffrida was charged with organized retail theft, receiving stolen property and related offenses. He was being held in York County Prison on $25,000 cash bail.
