The National Weather Service in State College is forecasting minor flooding along the Swatara Creek.
In Harper Tavern, the Swatara was expected to rise above flood stage late this morning and crest near 10 feet by this evening, then fall below its flood stage of nine feet after midnight.
At 10 feet, the creek affects several homes in the Lebanon County community.
In Hershey, the Swatara Creek was expected to rise above flood stage by this afternoon and crest near 7.5 feet by this evening, according to NWS forecasters, who said the creek would fall below its flood stage of seven feet after midnight.
At seven feet, some roadways are affected by high water.
Minor flooding is also expected along the Conestoga River, which will likely reach the flood stage of 11 feet in Lancaster this morning and crest near 12 feet by late afternoon.
