The Buzz: Bluegrass Concert, the Circus & Orchestra Concert

The James River Bluegrass Association presents Ralph Stanley II and his great band. He's the son of Dr. Ralph Stanley, who is known for his distinctive singing and banjo playing. That's Friday at7 p.m. at the Madison Heights Community Center. The Little Mountain Boys band will open the show. Tickets are $15.

A popular circus is back in Roanoke this weekend, and you don't want to miss the show! The Shrine Circus will be at the Roanoke Civic Center through Sunday. Check out acts featuring tigers, elephants and cool aerial feats. Tickets are $16 for adults and $8 for kids. You can buy tickets here.

Also in Roanoke, Tanglewood Mall will be the place to be for kids on Saturday. There will be free indoor games, storytelling, rides, face painting and fun activities. The Roanoke Camp Fair will also be there so you can see which summer camp is best for your child. That's 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and it's all free.

Sunday in Lynchburg, an EC Glass graduate will be the soloist at the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra concert. Sarah Catherine Straw will play the violin at the "Four Seasons to Fiddlers" concert. It's at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 3 p.m. The program will also have performances from other local orchestras.

    Police in Cumberland County arrested a man and woman who were attempting to gain entry into the impound lot of GA Smith Towing on 43 S. Main Street in Lemoyne.According to West Shore Regional Police, officers arrived to find Laura F. Youngblood of Lemoyne, and Jeffrey S.
