State police in Franklin County arrested a man for a burglary in Fayetteville that occurred early Monday while a family of four was in the home.
Thomas David Strode, 41, of Chambersburg, was taken into custody by responding troopers about 200 yards from the home.
Police said Strode was not wearing a shirt, yelling threats, under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and was bleeding from his arm when the troopers found him.
Strode is accused of breaking into a home in the 100 block of West Main Street at around 3 a.m.
According to police, a resident of the home had his wife and two children lock themselves in an upstairs bedroom while he armed himself with a gun.
Strode was being held in the Franklin County Jail on charges of burglary, trespassing, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct. His bail was set at $25,000.
