LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police investigating the killing of a 59-year-old man inside a Lancaster apartment last month are trying to track down a stolen television as part of their case.

Lancaster police said the TV was taken sometime during or after the homicide at 248 W. Walnut Street on January 7.

Allan Wayne Hess had been staying in the first-floor apartment for a short amount of time before he was killed.

The stolen TV is a Toshiba 40" LCD flat screen with 1080p/60hz resolution and a serial number of 16T69178K1. The set was valued at $530, police said.

Investigators are asking anyone who purchased a similar television to check the serial number.

Lancaster City/County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest or conviction.

Anyone with information on the homicide or the television is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-322-1913.
