HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
Police arrested two men following a robbery report in Downtown Harrisburg.
On Feb. 4 at around 10:45 p.m. two patrol officers were approached by
a young man who reported that he had just been robbed at knife point.
The 21-year-old victim said that he had been walking home from a Chinese restaurant in the
1300 block of Market Street with a food order.
Suddenly he was grabbed from
behind by two men. One robber pointed a large knife in his face
and demanded money.
The robbers took his cell phone and the food
order before fleeing the scene.
The
victim, who was not injured, was able to give police a detailed description of the robbers.
The
officers found two men matching that description at South 15th and Chestnut Streets. They were approached and tried to walk off.
One
robber, later identified as 19-year-old Demero Johnson, ran off but was caught a short distance away.
The other suspect was identified as Jeremiah Small, 20.
The victim was able to positively identify both robbers.
One of the accused had the victim's cell phone in his pocket along with two
other cell phones. He said he didn't know who the other cell phones
belonged to.
Both robbers had parts of the victim's food order.
The
knife used in the attack was found in the roadway where the two suspects were spotted by police.
One of the robbers had apparently thrown the knife away as the
officers approached.
Both
robbers were sent to the Dauphin County Prison in lieu of bail.
