Brookneal, VA – Police are continuing their search for a missing Halifax County woman.
Wendy Beadles Francis was last seen in June of 2012.
Tuesday Campbell County investigators searched a creek in Brookneal hoping to get some answers.
Investigators have not found a body. Officials conducted two searches Tuesday, one on Mattox Street in the town of Brookneal and the other off of Swinging Ridge Road near Phillips Creek in Halifax County.
Investigators are also combing land behind a home and 20 acres of land behind it because Francis was staying there right before she went missing.
Search dogs and a diving team were on hand Tuesday.
Campbell County Sheriff Steve Hutcherson asking for the public's help.
"We want to find out what happened to her. I haven't talked to the family but some of my guys have, put your self in the families situation as a parent i dont think anything would be more horrifying than to have one of your children missing and you can't locate them," said Hutcherson.
