MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police say a 21-year-old Mechanicsburg man tried to break into numerous cars in his neighborhood.

On Feb. 3 officers received a report that footprints were seen throughout the White Birch development in Cumberland County . The prints were around vehicles and within feet of other people's homes.

When they arrived at the scene, police found that someone had tried to break into more that one dozen vehicles in the area.

The subsequent investigation led detectives to 21-year-old Jonathan Moser of the first block of White Birch Avenue.

Moser was taken to the Cumberland County Booking Center for arraignment on multiple charges including attempted theft and prowling at nighttime.
