A record Cash 5 lottery jackpot will be split between two winning tickets, and a $217 million Powerball prize will go to a single ticket holder in Virginia.
The Pennsylvania Lottery said the two jackpot-winning tickets for Wednesday's Cash 5 game were sold at a Turkey Hill store in Carbondale, Lackawanna County and at an IGA store in Hawley, Wayne County.
Each ticket correctly matched all five balls, 19-22-28-39-42, to split a jackpot of $1.9 million, less 25 percent federal withholding.
The jackpot is the largest in the history of the game.
The Virginia Lottery, meanwhile, reported that only winning ticket for Wednesday's $217 million Powerball prize was sold at Richmond International Airport.
The winning numbers were 5-27-36-38-41 and the Powerball was 12.
