Homeland Security clears York city shop

Posted: Updated:
YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

The Department of Homeland Security raided a downtown York business Thursday afternoon and seized hundreds of boxes.

Authorities said the boxes contained counterfeit goods that were being sold at Bust-A-Left apparel and shoe store.

The boxes lined the sidewalk of East Market Street while law enforcement officials worked to sort and label them. They said the items sold inside, such as sneakers and sports jerseys, are knock-offs produced in Asia and sold at market value.

The entire shop was cleared.

Authorities said it was not an isolated seizure, but part of a much larger counterfeit ring.
