LURGAN, Pa. (WHTM) -
The warmer weather Sunday posed a dangerous problem for a horse in Franklin County after it became stuck in submerging ice.
A number of fire and rescue companies responded to the 1000-block of Newburg Road in Lurgan Township and found the horse had apparently fallen through the icy-surface of a pond.
Crews used a rope to lasso the animal and pull it to safety. The horse is expected to make a full recovery.
