Angel Franqui-Pagan
LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) -
A Lebanon man has been arrested for a shooting incident last month at a city playground.
Angel Franqui-Pagan, 22, turned
himself into the city police station Friday. He was arraigned and placed in the Lebanon County Prison on $1 million bail.
Franqui-Pagan has been charged with counts including attempted homicide, aggravated assault, robbery,
reckless endangerment, and firearms violations for the January 9 incident at the Beautex Playground at 12th and Buttonwood streets.
Police previously reported that 33-year-old Christopher Barrett, also of Lebanon,
was shot in the back as he ran from the playground. His injuries were
not life threatening.
Franqui-Pagan faces additional charges from state police in Jonestown for a pursuit in Lebanon
immediately following the shooting.
Troopers were assisting city police when they saw a black
Honda that reportedly fled the playground area, and pursued the driver
from 11th and Cumberland streets to the area of Spruce and Crowell
streets.
For the pursuit, Pagan has been charged with fleeing and eluding, reckless endangerment, and summary traffic violations.
