HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police have announced a $1,000 reward for information leading to the whereabouts and safe return of a suburban Harrisburg man who has been missing since last month.

Swatara Township police said they do not suspect foul play in the disappearance of Matthew Jerome Macon at this time, and there are no suspicious circumstances that led to him going missing.

Macon's family reported him missing on February 8. The 51-year-old lives at 100 Spring Street in the township and has been seen or heard from by his family since January 23, police said.

Police said Macon was last seen wearing a short black leather coat, a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.

His family reported that he has never been gone this long without making contact, police said.

The family also reported that Macon has been known to use illegal drugs, and frequents the Harrisburg and Carlisle areas, police said.

Anyone with information may call Dauphin County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-262-3080 or Swatara Township police at (717) 564-2550.
