State police say a 27-year-old burglary suspect hid from officers and resisted arrest when a warrant was served at his home in Oxford.
Michael Mason was a person of interest in a Lancaster County burglary investigation. While authorities were serving a warrant related to this incident, 22-year-old Amanda Combs-Ruoss helped Mason hide from police and lied about his whereabouts.
Officers subsequently found Mason inside the residence, and then he physically resisted arrest.
During the search police found two guns—a rifle and a handgun—that were reported stolen during a Lancaster County burglary investigation. Police also recovered heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Mason now faces multiple charges including receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and drug possession.
Charges were also filed against Combs-Ruoss for hindering prosecution and drug possession.
Mason was committed to Chester County Prison for an existing warrant.
