SHREWSBURY, Pa. (WHTM) -
The wife of a man arrested for the armed robbery of a York County tobacco shop is facing charges she misled police as they investigated her husband.
Amber Holthaus, 25, of Railroad, has been charged with two counts of hindering apprehension, according to Southern
Regional police.
Holthaus allegedly gave misleading information to officers regarding her husband's whereabouts and physical description, police said.
Her husband, 28-year-old Dwayne Holthaus, is accused of waiving a large
knife while demanding money and potpourri November 10 at Planet
RYO, at 12 Constitution Avenue in Shrewsbury, according to police.
He was arrested days later when officers found him hiding inside his mobile home on
Snyder Road, police said.
Dwayne Holthaus is awaiting trial on charges of robbery, simple assault, terroristic threats,
theft, receiving stolen property, reckless endangerment, and criminal mischief.
His wife was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
