LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -
A New Jersey man wanted for an armed robbery at a Lancaster County motel has been arrested in Atlantic City.
East Lampeter Township police said 30-year-old Michael Falls, of Mays Landing, N.J., is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania where he faces charges of robbery, conspiracy and aggravated assault.
Another suspect in the crime, 21-year-old Ashley Cenneno, of Paulsboro, N.J., has been charged with robbery and conspiracy but remains at large, police said.
Police said Falls and Cenneno planned and attempted to steal a large amount of cash from a 25-year-old New Jersey man at the Super 8 motel in the 2100 block of Lincoln Highway East.
Cenneno was staying at the motel with the victim when he was beaten with a handgun and jumped from a third-story window to escape the attack the night of December 3, police said.
The victim, who was not identified, was seriously injured in the assault and the fall to the parking lot. He spent a week in Lancaster General Hospital for injuries he suffered in the attack.
Cenneno disappeared after the incident and was listed as a missing person, but she was later located in New Jersey.
