Chatham, VA - The Homeplace Vineyard in Chatham entered three of their wines into 2013 Governor's Cup Wine Competition.
They won a bronze medal for their Old Green Tractor Wine and a silver medal for their Cabinet Sunset Wine.
Now owner Chris Smith is even more excited to share the winning wines with folks at the Southern Virginia Wine Fest this weekend.
"There's over 100 different wines to try and everyone one of us will be totally different because all the fruit could be the same quality but it's the winemakers styles that changes the whole process of what we put into the bottles," said Chris Smith, co-owner of The Homeplace Vineyard.
The wine festival is at the Olde Dominion Agricultural Complex this Saturday from noon until 6 p.m., and 12 wineries are participating.
