Danville - Today's high school Team of the Week is the Westover Christian Academy girls squad of Danville.
The Bulldogs, after an 0-and-4 start, have been on a tear ever since. Westover has won 15 of its last 16 games to run its record to 15-and-5, the Bulldogs' last win came Monday at Holy Cross by 24 points. Westover Christian plays at Carlisle Friday evening, the Bulldogs' hot play has helped strengthen their bid for a state tournament run.
Leah Clayton, BULLDOGS FRESHMAN STANDOUT, said "After those four losses we all just kinda got down on ourselves but then after winning so many more, we've kinda built our confidence up."
Hannah White, who scored 25 points in the win over Holy Cross, said "Now we're doing it, I was very surprised that we'd make it to states because we're in."
