Teen dies after shooting in Lancaster

Posted: Updated:
LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Lancaster teenager died after he was shot and killed Wednesday night at a home in the 400 block of N. Queen Street.

Police have identified the victim as 17-year-old David Montes.

City police said Montes was shot in the chest, apparently during an argument between him or someone with him and a resident of the address.

The argument took place outside the home and resulted in multiple gunshots, police said.

Montes was transported to a hospital by ambulance and taken immediately into surgery, but was later pronounced dead.

Police said they spoke to witnesses and residents of the home. Several were interviewed by detectives at the police station.

Authorities have announced no arrests or suspects in the killing.

Anyone with information may call Lancaster City Police at (717) 735-3300. Callers do not have to give their names.
