YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -
Former U.S. Congressman Todd Platts announced Thursday he plans to run for judge in York County's Court of Common Pleas.
Platts said he plans to cross-file in the upcoming May 21 primary election.
Platts was elected to represent Pennsylvania's 19th district in 2000 and served until January 2013. He announced his decision to retire from Congress last year.
The Republican also served eight years in the state House of Representatives.
