Fire hydrant hit by delivery truck spews water

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Hundreds of thousands of gallons of water gushed out onto Silver Spring Square Drive in Cumberland County Thursday night near the Wegman's in Silver Spring Township.

Police said a delivery truck hit a fire hydrant. No homes or businesses were affected.

It took crews about 45 minutes to stop the hydrant from spewing water.
