Pennsylvania Turnpike travelers can now get faster Internet speeds while relaxing inside service plazas.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission announced Friday that free Wi-Fi service is now available at all service plazas in operation.
The free Wi-Fi was added for Turnpike customers who want to use smartphones, tablets, laptops or other portable devices to access the Internet while traveling.
The free Internet connection is available at the 15 operating service plazas, and will be available at the South Midway plaza in Bedford County and the Highspire plaza in Dauphin County when those centers reopen in May. Both plazas currently are closed for construction.
The Wi-Fi service is accessible only from inside the plazas.
Users should select the name "HMSHost-WiFi," when searching for available networks in their device settings.
