HANOVER, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police arrested a suspect following two overnight convenience store robberies in Hanover.

Officers investigated the first incident at 2:45 a.m. at the Rutters in the 1400 block of Baltimore Street. The second robbery was reported about a half-hour later at the Turkey Hill on Fuhrman Mill Road.

Patrols stopped 28-year-old Adam Cooke of West Manheim Township in his pickup truck on Fuhrman Mill Road near Black Rock Road. Police say he was fleeing the Turkey Hill at the time.

Cooke was charged with robbery and theft for the Turkey Hill robbery where about $40 was taken. He was also charged with attempted robbery for the Rutters incident because the clerk refused Cooke's demands to hand over cash.

No weapon was displayed, and no injuries were reported.

Cooke was transported to Central Booking for arraignment.
