State police said a 22-year-old Millersburg man took his one-year-old son on a high speed chase through Dauphin County Sunday afternoon.
Troopers said they were called to a home on the 800 block of Pheasant Road in South Hanover Township for a domestic call. But when they got there, the man they were looking for, Kellen Brown, was nowhere to be found.
Brown's girlfriend told police he had left in his car with his one-year-old son. Troopers then reported seeing his vehicle on Route 39 and began chasing him toward Hersheypark Drive.
He traveled through South Hanover Township and into Hummelstown Borough. At times, police said, Brown reached speeds of 75 miles per hour in 25 and 35 mph zones.
Police said at one point, Brown purposefully turned his vehicle towards a trooper's cruiser, striking it.
Brown was eventually located at his mother's home in Highspire and arrested.
He was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, endangering the welfare of children, reckless endangerment, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and criminal mischief.
He was being held in Dauphin County Prison on $50,000 bail.
