Police in Cumberland County said they cited an East Pennsboro Township man for public drunkenness after he called 911 for a ride home.
Nicholas Patrick Cromley, 44, called 911 last Monday night and said he needed police assistance. He then told the officer who responded that he needed a ride home, according to West Shore Regional police.
Police said Cromley told them he had tried to get a family member to pick him up, but they refused, so he decided to call police.
He was taken to his home, issued a citation and released to his family, police said.
