Family and friends gathered Monday night to remember Harrisburg's first homicide victim of 2013.
Davion Walker, 21, was shot to death last Sunday on North 15th Street. Police said 20-year-old Maurice Belton told them he accidentally shot Walker while showing him a gun. Belton has been charged with criminal homicide.
Since then, there have been two more homicides in the city.
Walker's family made a plea at Monday's vigil to stop ongoing violence in the city, saying enough is enough.
"This whole family is suffering really bad because everything in our life right now is behind guns, carelessness, senselessness and it's leaving us like this," said Walker's aunt, Theresa Mitchell.
The vigil was organized by Heeding God's Call, an interfaith group that holds a vigil for every homicide victim in the city.
