Franklin County Authorities Investigating Bodies Found in Vehicle

Franklin Co., VA - Franklin County Sheriff's Deputies say Tuesday afternoon, a man and a woman were found dead inside a vehicle from apparent gunshot wounds.

Deputies say the 2001 Silver Jeep with the bodies inside were found on Ramsey Memorial Road near the intersection of Snow Creek Road.

Investigators say they got a call around 3:03 p.m. Tuesday about two possible gunshot wound victims.

When deputies got to the Jeep, they found the victims dead at the scene from possible gun shot wounds.

Investigators say they found a handgun inside of the Jeep.

The names of the man and woman aren't being released until next of kin is notified.

Deputies say the investigation is ongoing but there is not any reason to believe the public is in any danger related to the shootings.

Franklin Co., VA- The Franklin County Sheriff's Department says they found two bodies in a vehicle.

Deputies say the bodies were found in a vehicle on Ramsey Memorial Road near the intersection of Snow Creek Road.

Sheriff investigators are on the scene. They do not believe it was a vehicle accident.

    Upper Allen Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that left a woman hospitalized early Sunday morning.It happened at around 2:00 a.m. on the 1000 block of Gettysburg Pike.Officials say 22-year-old Breanna L Normand was traveling south on Gettysburg Pike when she drove off the road and hit a utility pole head-on.Normand was transported to the hospital for treatment.No word on the cause of the accident.More >>
