HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A federal grand jury in Harrisburg has indicted a man already charged in the robberies of five fast food restaurants and the attempted robberies of five others in Cumberland, Dauphin and York counties.

Maurice Lebron Davis, 39, formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y., was indicted Wednesday on 10 counts of interference with commerce by robbery, according to U.S. Attorney Peter Smith.

Davis was charged by local police in July with 42 criminal counts stemming from a three-month crime spree from December 2011 to February 2012.

He is accused of:

- a December 23 robbery of the Chick-fil-A on Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg, where employees were forced to open a safe by a man who was waiting inside after breaking in through a drive-thru window;

- a December 23 robbery of the Wendy's on Simpson Ferry Road in Camp Hill, where a man in a ski mask broke in through a drive-thru window, but fled when an employee arrived;

- a December 31 robbery of the Wendy's on N. 21st Street in Camp Hill, where a man smashed a glass door and waited for an employee, who was unable to unlock the safe;

- a December 31 robbery at the Burger King on Paxton Street in Harrisburg, where an employee was attacked in the parking lot and forced to open the safe;

- a December 31 attempted robbery at the Wendy's on Old Mill Road in Dillsburg, where a drive-thru window was broken;

- a January 2 attempted robbery at the Wendy's on Conestoga Drive in Shippensburg, where a drive-thru window was broken;

- a January 6 robbery of the Burger King on N. Cameron Street in Harrisburg, where a man followed employees into the restaurant and ordered them to hand over money;

- a January 6 attempted robbery of the Wendy's on S. Hanover Street in Carlisle, where a drive-thru window was broken and a man with a black hoodie was seen running from the rear of the restaurant;

- a February 24 attempted robbery at the McDonald's on Harrisburg Pike in Carlisle, where a man with a white plastic bag over his head met an employee at the door and wanted inside, but both the employee and the would-be robber fled; and

- the February 24 attempted robbery of the Arby's on Cumberland Parkway in Mechanicsburg.

Police have said that most of the crimes occurred on a Friday or Saturday and, in most cases, little or no cash was taken.
