A York man was arrested after he fired a handgun at a juvenile he suspected of slashing his car tires, police said.
Jose Serrano-Fernadini, 47, had argued with the youth Thursday morning inside the vestibule area of their apartment building at 459 West Princess Street.
When the argument escalated into a physical scuffle, he pulled a .45 caliber pistol and fired a single round at the juvenile, police said.
Serrano-Fernadini was charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
No one was injured, but police said the apartment building was occupied by at least six people when the shot was fired.
Serrano-Fernadini lives in a first-floor apartment, while the juvenile lives on the second-floor, police said.
The vandalism occurred the previous night while Serrano-Fernadini's car was parked across the street from the residence.
