Ceremony to honor living donors held in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

The Sheraton Hershey-Harrisburg held a ceremony on Sunday to honor living donors who gave people the gift of life.

Since 1974 The Gift of Life Donor Program has helped coordinate over 34,000 organ transplants.

The Gift of Life, Act of Love ceremony recognizes anyone who donated a life-saving organ, like a kidney or a liver, along with their families, friends and the medical staff who performed the surgeries.
