YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

A York man wanted for a shooting that injured a woman in a gas station parking lot has been arrested in New York City.

Thomas Washington IV, 34, was taken into custody Monday on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and firearms offenses, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

The charges stem from the Feb. 1 shooting at the Sunoco A-Plus, at 260 N. Sherman Street, where Washington is accused of firing several shots into a car occupied by two people.

Authorities have said the victim, Tamika Goodwin, was seated in the driver's seat of her car when she was shot in the arm. Her injuries were not life threatening and the person in the car with her was not injured.

Washington was turned over to the New York City police pending his extradition to York County.
