HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -
State police are investigating the cause of a fatal accident in Middle Paxton Township.
On Wednesday at around 1:30 p.m. authorities responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 322/22 near the Front Street ramp.
The 1996 Ford Escort was traveling eastbound when, for unknown reasons, the car struck the center median near the exit, drove into the oncoming lanes, went down an embankment and struck a sound wall.
The vehicle then came to a stop between the sound wall and a guide rail.
Police say the driver was wearing a seatbelt, and the car's airbags did deploy. There were no passengers.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
