Junior Omar Tirado-Torres
CORNWALL, Pa. (WHTM) -
A Lancaster man is facing charges in five home burglaries after police said they caught him in the act at a Lebanon County home and connected him to similar crimes.
Cornwall police said 27-year-old Junior Omar Tirado-Torres was cutting sections of copper pipe and had a large pile of cut piping when officers found him inside a home in the 200 block of Spring Hill Lane on February 10.
He was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, burglary, loitering and prowling at night time, and criminal mischief.
During the booking process, police said they found Tirado-Torres was wearing a high school class ring with an inscribed name that was not his, but that of a burglary victim in the 100 block of Nevin Street in Lancaster.
Tirado-Torres confessed to twice burglarizing the home and other residences in the 300 block of New Holland Avenue and the 800 block of First Street, police said.
Police said he stole copper piping from two of the homes and also took electronic equipment, jewelry and outdoor equipment.
He was additionally charged with four counts of burglary and five counts of theft.
