YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police responded to a shooting Saturday night in York that sent an alleged robber to the hospital.

It happened at around 6:30 p.m. at La Familia Grocery on the 300-block of East Prospect Street.

York police said a man and woman entered the store and pointed a gun at the owner. The owner then pulled out his own gun and shot at them. The pair fled with cash.

Officers later discovered the woman with a gunshot wound and transported her to York Hospital in unknown condition. The man is still on the run.

Police have not released suspect names or descriptions.
